Black Eyes & Neckties announce round of FINAL shows!

It is with a heavy heart that I regret to inform all of you that the Black Eyes & Neckties’ era is coming to an end.  I’m a tad sentimental about this, being that they are the first band that I added to my Starbird roster, but all good things come to an end and all I can say is that I will miss them dearly.

Together since 2002, they’ve built a far reaching fanbase who have been witness to one of the most amazing live shows around.  Breaking of ankles, stripping of clothing, falling over of equipment, arms and legs flailing about - those were some things you could count on witnessing.  In the time they’ve been together, they’ve lucky enough to play some great festivals such as Bumbershoot, Capitol Hill Block Party and Totalfest (2x), make a trip overseas to the UK and tour the US several times.  It was a good run all in all.

Last show ever will be on their home turf in Bellingham on Halloween night.  They’ll have a few other goodbye shows around the NW too - here are the final shows:

September 18th @ Roseland (Portland, as part of MFNW) w/ Monotonix and Bad Brains
September 19th @ Neumo’s (Seattle) w/ Monotonix and Unnatural Helpers
October 23rd @ University of Montana (Missoula) w/ BOAT + more
October 24th @ tbd (Walla Walla)
October 30th @ WhaaM (Bellingham, all ages)
October 31st @ The Nightlight (Bellingham)

Don’t fret…..a few of the members already have new (or side that will now be their main) projects.  Josh is continuing on with Dog Shredder , while Brad is finally able to focus on his badass twangy band Wooden Wings  and Dave is hitting skins withGuinness & The Reparations .

They have one last recording available that has a new track - its a split 12” with their friends The Russians.  Available thru Krazy Keith Records - http://krazykeithrecords.com/  - local bellingham and Seattle stores, and from the band at shows.  We should have some on the Clickpop store soon too.

Thanks for all of your support!

New Kristin Allen-Zito Video (full album coming soon)

Kristin Allen-Zito is in the studio now working on the her second solo record. We are pretty excited about this for two reasons: one - its been a long time in coming, two - its gonna be really good!

Our friend Luke Chmura has made a video to the demo recording of a song from Kristin's next CD "I'm just hungry" - here it is:

BENT tour UK / release Split 12" with the Russians

Very exciting Black Eyes & Neckties news that we wanted to share!

Black Eyes & Neckties recently signed to the William Morris Agency over in the UK and we couldn't be happier.  Their first trip over there will be happening in May and tour will be based around them playing the infamous Dot to Dot Festival .  If anyone has friends over there, let us know.  We'd love to invite them to the shows and maybe they'd even want to be super generous and offer a place to rest our weary bones.  Here's what we have confirmed so far - more to come!

16-May:  Coventry @ Kasbah
20-May:  Liverpool @ The Magnet
23-May:  Bristol @ Dot to Dot Festival
24-May:  Nottingham @ Dot to Dot Festival
27-May:  Dundee @ The Doghouse
28-May:  Edinburgh @ Sneaky Pete's

In late April, Black Eyes & Neckties will be releasing a split 12" with their good friends The Russians on Krazy Keith Records.  It includes new song "Grace Note" plus a re-worked version of "Tonight Death Soars" from their first album, Stiletto.  These records will available primarily at their live shows and local record shops, but also online from Krazy Keith and on the Clickpop Records webstore.  You can preview tracks on either of one of the bands' MySpace pages - and the Black Eyes tracks will be added to the player on this site as well. More info as soon after the pressing returns from the factory.

New Trucks EP - LAST live Trucks show

First the bad news - Yes - The Trucks have declared this weekend's gigs to be the last two shows by The Trucks ever.  :(  SO - come one and come all to either Portland Nov. 7th or Bellingham Nov 8th. There will be special shirts, lots of decorations, and The Trucks are going to play ALL their old songs - even ones they have rarely if ever played live !

Now - The good news! There are finally some new songs by The Trucks available for sale. First up is the "Never Forever" EP. Orignally projected to be the final single from the first album "Shattered" + a b -side "Louisiana" we have altered the release to be a commemrative "double A side" released just in time for the last two shows. Added to those two great songs are the new dark dance song "Mute" and everyone's favorite sing-a-long "Pervs in the Bushes". But wait - there's more! We have also tacked on two remixes: a new remix of "titties" and an edited version of one of the remixes from the Zombie 12". After the madness cools down - we are also still finishing up a mini-album (7 or 8 songs) of new Trucks songs that have been written over the last year or so.

Big Month for Black Eyes & Neckties

If you love Black Eyes & Neckties like we do (quite a bit really) - then August should be a good month. Folllowing a great performance at the Capitol Hill Block Party last week, they are now gearing up to play shows all over the western half of the US. It all starts in Bellingham with two shows: an "Of ages" show at the Rogue on Aug 2nd and an "all-ages" show at WHAAM (the old foundry) on Aug 8th. Then there is a big tour starting with an appearance at the mighty TOTALFEST in Missoula. Over the next two weeks the blood-spattered rockers will terrorize and entertain the mountain states heading south, and then head north up the I-5 corridor please check the calendar for a show near you! But it doesn't end there - following this madness is an appearance at the grandaddy of festivals - Bumbershoot on Sept 1st. If you haven't seen this band live yet - you should really check them out this month. If you have, I'm sure you are eager for more.....
