Clickpop Goes to SXSW with Idiot PilotPaul and Ian from Clickpop Records went down to Austin for SxSW 2010 along with Idiot Pilot. Idiot Pilot played a showcase Wednesday night and were celebrating the release of their new single "The Tail of the Jet Black Swan". The song was co-produced and co-mixed by Idiot Pilot and Paul Turpin together in Bellingham and is available exclusively on www.idiotpilot.com and on KNDD 107.7fm Seattle (where you should request it!).
While wandering around Ian and Demeter (IP's new bass player) were both interviewed by NPR! The interview (found here on npr's website ) was concerning youtube's new profit sharing initiative between advertisers and artists.
While here we have checked out great performances from our friends The Lonely Forest (Anacortes) and The Globes (Seattle) who are both celebrating new labels (Trans-Atlantic, and Barsuk respectively), and our friends Sugar Sugar Sugar.
When we get back home - there is lots of work to do to bring you new recordings from Kristin Allen-Zito (her long awaited second solo record is almost here!), Pan Pan, The Mission Orange, new Rooftops songs, and more...

BENT tour UK / release Split 12" with the RussiansVery exciting Black Eyes & Neckties news that we wanted to share!
Black Eyes & Neckties recently signed to the William Morris Agency over in the UK and we couldn't be happier. Their first trip over there will be happening in May and tour will be based around them playing the infamous Dot to Dot Festival . If anyone has friends over there, let us know. We'd love to invite them to the shows and maybe they'd even want to be super generous and offer a place to rest our weary bones. Here's what we have confirmed so far - more to come!
16-May: Coventry @ Kasbah
20-May: Liverpool @ The Magnet
23-May: Bristol @ Dot to Dot Festival
24-May: Nottingham @ Dot to Dot Festival
27-May: Dundee @ The Doghouse
28-May: Edinburgh @ Sneaky Pete's
In late April, Black Eyes & Neckties will be releasing a split 12" with their good friends The Russians on Krazy Keith Records. It includes new song "Grace Note" plus a re-worked version of "Tonight Death Soars" from their first album, Stiletto. These records will available primarily at their live shows and local record shops, but also online from Krazy Keith and on the Clickpop Records webstore. You can preview tracks on either of one of the bands' MySpace pages - and the Black Eyes tracks will be added to the player on this site as well. More info as soon after the pressing returns from the factory.
